Evan Waaramaa has performed music of all kinds at venues such as the Hoop City Jazz Festival, the SummerWind Performing Arts Festival, The Tunnel Jazz Club in Austria, New England Autumnfest, Berklee College of Music Performance Center, and more. He has recently gigged in the Connecticut area with latin jazz group Ed Fast and Conga Bop, during which stint, he opened for jazz legends such as Terrence Blanchard and Arturo Sandoval.
Now at Berklee he has found his passion for playing world music, most prominently the music of Central and South America. He has performed and composed tunes in styles such as Joropo and Merenque, Flamenco, Salsa, Partido Alto, Bossa, and many more, and played with leading artists from all of the above fields.
An avid composer, Evan currently scores music for film, TV and other media.
