I'm Eva. I am trans.
In the second half of my life, I turned a corner in more ways than one. After nearly four decades of living as others have expected me to I eventually broke down and accepted my authentic self. The trouble is I wasn't exactly sure what that was but I know it wasn't the man everyone thought I was. So I made some changes. I am moving forward living the remainder of life embracing my feminine self.
During my transition over the past decade I discovered there was a writer, long buried. I cannot relay due justice to the significance of this discovery in this brief space, I can only let you explore the results.
"A Purse of Stones" my sixth self-published and latest novel was released December 1st, 2015. The story is of a young trans woman's journey through grief after the tragic loss of her lover to an avalanche while skiing in the backcountry. Please visit evaodland.com for more information..
About my writing, I write trans fiction. Stories of love, loss and redemption with trans protagonists. Transgender people are sadly under represented in contemporary literature and I have made an attempt to add stories that take the trans character out of overused exploitative tropes and reveal to the reader the complex, compassionate and beautiful humans we are.
I am always working on a new manuscript, story or screen play. Feel free to contact me via at the email address above if you would like entertain any works in progress or if you are interested in having a trans voice on your writing team.
From time to time I post short stories or essays on my author site so please visit. Links to past works and newest posts are below.
