Eve Becker taught secondary school English in New York City for two decades. Prior to that, she was a freelance writer and editor in both print and digital publishing, and a writer-in-the-schools, working with students and teachers in K-12 classrooms around the city.

She currently teaches in the Comp and Rhetoric and Creative Writing programs at Pace University and supervises student teachers at Teachers College, Columbia University. She is is the founder of Leaf and Pen, an organization that runs writing retreats and workshops for educators

Eve was awarded the nationally acclaimed Pushcart Prize for her essay "Final Concert" (Pushcart Prize 2012) and is the author of over thirty young adult novels. She holds a BA from Oberlin College, an MSEd from Cambridge College, and an EdM from Teachers College, Columbia University.
