Evelyn Atieno

Since launching her magazine at sixteen-- Evelyn Atieno has been working constantly to change the world's perspective on controversial issues. Her magazine Affinity for Life-- is the celebration of life and what it awards all of us-- the main focus of the magazine is social issues pertaining to teenagers, she has highlighted issues such as rape,interracial relationships,adoption,homosexuality,immigration,student exchange and many others. She works monthly on the magazine designing the layout,photographing and piecing articles all for the past 3 year

Evelyn is a firm believer in changing instead of speaking-- She feels it is her moral objection to help others in her community-- She recently held a sexual assault seminar at my school to educate students about the definition of what consent and rape, additionally ways to protect themselves. My main focus is journalism,politics and global initiative.

She is well versed in an array of programs and topics. Evelyn is an extraordinary ambitious young lady who is always working on improving her community and educating herself to prepare for a career in the future.
