Evelyn Dolowitz Nitzberg, an award winning fine artist living in the San Francisco Bay Area, expresses a psychological dimension, some paintings express an appreciation for the miraculous beauty of natural objects and other pieces are disturbing and depict her concern about social issues, (i.e. homelessness, the manipulation of the public through terms used in advertising, the young exposed to too much too soon and the pact of war on innocents.)
Ms. Nitzberg worked in K-12 public education teaching art from 1998-2015. Prior to teaching, she worked in pre-press doing graphics technology, photolithography and illustration. A 4'x16' mural depicting the history of printing technology hangs in the ITU Hall in San Francisco.
Evelyn photographed and censused Gray Whales during several calving seasons with Ronn Patterson's scientific team in Baja California and she completed biological illustrations for educational presentations and for the local community college biology department publications.
Evelyn continues to teach art to all ages in her studio, in the Adult Community Education program and she organizes visual arts workshops and p'art'ies for any size event. She is available to do personalized commissioned paintings and drawings. You may contact the artist directly: 707-889-0169
