A long time resident of NYC, Evelyn Rivera is currently the Manager of Corporate Relations and Special Events at FPWA, formerly Federation of Protestant Welfare Agencies. Ms. Rivera has over ten (10) years working in Special Events as a Consultant for small businesses then as Special Events Manager for the Kips Bay Boys and Girls Club where she managed a number of fundraising events including the renowned Kips Bay Decorator Showhouse. In addition, Ms. Rivera was the Marketing Director for Neighborhood Housing Services of New York City (NHS) New York City’s premier housing service whose mission is to revitalize under-served neighborhoods by providing affordable housing and homeownership education. Ms. Rivera has also held the position of Communications Director for one of Harlem’s famed cultural institutions, the Harlem YMCA, responsible for bringing awareness to the facility through a number of corporate and community partnerships, media outreach and a host of special events. Ms. Rivera gained her corporate experience working at Merrill Lynch and Morgan Stanley in the area of Corporate Communications where she coordinated communications efforts for many senior level executives from a variety of investment divisions.
