Evelyn has worked in Media/Public Relations for over fourteen years with a strong emphasis in Sports Marketing & Promotions. For the past eight years, she worked within the Guest Relations Department at the FedEx Forum arena—home of the esteemed Memphis Grizzlies and University of Memphis Tigers.
Evelyn possesses a positive demeanor with excellent ability to work well under pressure, ability to work with people of all ages and backgrounds, with a thorough knowledge of brand messaging.
She has served on both sides of the Media--as the Asst. Sports Info. Director with the Mississippi College Choctaws, assisting with PR strategies and managing game-day operations as well as becoming the "ONLY" female Sports Editor of the Helena-West Helena Daily World.
As the Curator of the Delta Cultural Center, Evelyn served as the Assistant Project Coordinator of the Arkansas Delta Gospel Festival; supervised the video documentation and oral history teams during the King Biscuit Blues and ADFG festivals; as well as coordinated and promoted museum exhibit openings via lectures and television appearances.
Evelyn also served as Producer, Copywriter, and Host of the museum’s weekly hour-long radio program “From the Field to the Church: A look at the history of Gospel Music.”
