Osaka, Japan
I love Japan. That's why I have decided to move there for a PhD in geochemistry. My research is mostly on the transport of arsenic and heavy metals in river waters of North Osaka. Because Japan is a volcanic island upon a subduction zone, its geology is pretty interesting but hides hazardous elements in its rocks that further taint river waters and prevent from their use.
I'm also the founder of washibox.com, a monthly box that aims at exploring the wonders of the japanese paper washi. The box contains a selection of 10 papers and is sent directly from Japan to your mailbox. You can use washi for origami, wrapping, collage, cartonnage, DIY or calligraphy. Just let the inspiration in your fingers do the magic.
