Eveny Parker

Project Manager, Social Media Strategist, and Teacher in Syracuse, New York

If you’re looking for a challenge, try coaching Girls JV Basketball. While coaching at her high school alma mater, Eveny experienced huge success. Although, her strides were not measured in the form of wins. By employing strategies from her time as music educator and stage manager, Eveny was able to elevate the experience of her team by promoting a culture of excellence. Adamant about building life skills that transfer onto the court (i.e. discipline, perseverance, accountability), Eveny was able to cultivate meaningful relationships grounded in trust and respect. Always mindful of the bigger picture - which was to cultivate ball players who were prepared for the pressure associated with being a varsity-level student athlete, Eveny helped to grow and sustain one of the most competitive, urban Girls Basketball programs in Section III.

As often as possible, Eveny enjoys binge watching survival shows like Naked and Afraid or Life Below Zero. And, she isn't embarrassed to share that some of her happiest moments are those seconds right after finishing a rib-eye steak. (Medium rare; with sauteed mushrooms and onions if she's feeling fancy.)

Currently, Eveny is an Audio Arts Masters Candidate at Syracuse University’s Newhouse School working towards a new career in Project/Production Management. A classically trained tubist, Eveny understands rhythm, timing, function and style. She is eager to transfer these skills into a future in the music industry - preferably in branding and marketing. In an industry heavily orchestrated by design, Eveny is confident that she can perform within a team setting and even be the driving force holding a unit together.
