"Each entered the forest at a point that he himself had chosen, where it was darkest and there was no path. If there is a path it is someone else's path and you are not on the adventure.”
– Joseph Campbell
The Everyday Heroes Project is sponsored by Minstrels and Muses Press under writers/photographers, Daniel Wilson and Maysa Peterson who are publishing a book of personal transformative hero journeys from everyday people. Sean Schnell, The Day We Met band, is producing all the music. See and LIKE us on Facebook and watch for the launch of our web page and upcoming book release. Everyday Heroes Book Project
…is about connecting with humanity, everyday people, as they work through their personal calls for transformation. It’s about people who through their human frailty, suffering, and courage go out into the world and face their demons, their personal, emotional, social, cognitive, spiritual, or physical crisis and return from this journey lighter. They may have struggled with organizational norms, physical or mental trauma, doctrine and dogma, situational culture, personal belief systems, or challenged themselves toward personal growth, but ultimately they have worked to be wide awake in their lives.
As humans, we often have it hard to read, or hear, stories that involve personal suffering or pain. We might be superstitious in our avoidance. But these stories are not about the suffering. Suffering is part of the nature of life; to feel all the joy and all the sorrow with ferocious hunger. These stories are about the journey, and the gift returned from other side. These gifts are to be shared with others. The journeys we celebrate are from people who humble us. We wish to honor them for their courage, love, compassion, generosity, and awakening.
