Having a passion for emerging technology and innovation, Evin Hunt has climbed a career path that has given him a unique perspective and insight for bridging “over-the-top” innovation with large global network providers struggling to differentiate themselves. Since the 1990s, Evin has worked in many different technical capacities from the largest enterprise networks, to tier 1 internet backbone providers, and to startups in the telecommunications and software space.
Evin also has a passion for functional fitness, running, and martial arts. Through this passion, Evin has achieved two ranks as 4th degree black belt in Okinawan Kempo Karate and Kyusho Jitsu holding a title as Master instructor. Most recently, Evin started the Austin Kettlebell Fitness Club, which has over 260 members and growing, and meets three times a week for open free workouts in the park.
From a professional perspective, as a Co-founder and CTO at Shango, Evin has been in instrumental in conceiving the vision and technology required to propel Shango to the forefront of becoming the first global Unified Services ecosystem, which gives operators the ability to give their customers the power of choice in their services, both internal and external, reducing customer churn as customers seek new service experiences. Evin has filed several patents while at Shango, most notably one issued for “Multi-Tenant services management” and another one pending for “Unified services management using the telephone number as a common subscriber identifier.”
