My name is Ewelina, which explains partially the name of my YouTube channel CallMeEw which I invite you to check if you want, I'm making my first steps out there as well!

Since I've moved from Poland to France, I kind of started to use the nickname "Ew" without even thinking about it as a nickname. I was just trying to simplify the task for French people as most of them struggle to remember my full name. I won't even talk about pronouncing it… I love my full first name (it wasn't always the case), it doesn't bother me though if people prefer to call me Ew. I find it original even, because of the spelling. The French associate it with the name "Eve" (which I don't really like by the way... We can't love everything, can we?). If you don’t know how to spell my name you just replace “w” with “v” and it should be OK. Then, I noticed it not so much long ago that “Ew” is actually an onomatopoeia in English (I know I know, it’s obvious! But I’ve never thought about it as I don’t pronounce it the same way… Excuse me not being a native English-speaker)... But please don't pronounce it "à l'anglaise" please!

Enough about my first name!

Currently, I'm living in Paris area and studying English, which is one of my passions. I love learning new languages, but English grew in my heart as strongly as Corsica did when I moved there in 2009. For those who don’t know it, Corsica is a little island settled on Mediterranean close to France and Italy.

I’m not going to talk about my life here, I don’t think anyone of you care (love you if you do) and I hope there is still at least one person who made it down here!

My blog is going to be a PHOTO BLOG mainly. A part from English, I’m passioned by photography as well. I didn’t find my way yet, I’m just at the beginning so I will post the photos of different thematics. People, nature, city. Whatever I feel inspired to catch in my camera’s eye. My family, my friends, Paris, other cities I’ll visit and of course my beloved Corsica.

I hope you will stay with me for longer!
