Charlene Harreveld
From the Garden State of New Jersey to the fashion-model runways of Miami and Palm Beach, from active community involvement to devoted mother of two, Charlene Harreveld has led an interesting and diversified life. It's that varied history that lends itself to the vision Charlene has for eWillow.com. Charlene combined her love of fashion with her love of creating to build a successful business designing and making doll clothing. Her interest in stamping began when she sought to include professional-looking handmade tags with her creations. She became so interested in stamping and papercrafting, she gave up her doll clothing business and devoted her energy to stamping. Charlene became an independent demonstrator for a well-known rubber stamp and accessory company and has created quite the collection of beautiful handmade greeting cards, scrapbooks, and hostess gifts. As her love for stamping and crafting flourished, Charlene grew frustrated at the lack of a comprehensive "go-to" resource for papercrafting. While surfing papercrafting blogs, Charlene realized a major piece of the puzzle was missing. She wanted a common meeting place for papercrafters, like herself, who had homes filled with their creations and wanted to make their masterpieces available to buyers everywhere. Charlene envisioned a community in which crafters could build online studios and open them to the world of online shoppers. She knew from her experiences that people wanted to buy handmade creations to preserve that special memory. She knew shoppers were looking for special customized products, such as scrapbooks, handcrafted greeting cards, party favors, home décor items, and so on. Charlene envisioned one site that would provide those who love stamping and papercrafting a single resource for all of their needs. Whether someone had creations they wanted to buy or sell, ideas they wanted to share, discussions they wanted to participate in, or was just looking to connect with friends who share that same love of papercrafting... Charlene's vision became eWillow.com.
