Julia Ewing

Julia Ewing is Director of Strategic Initiatives and Outreach for American Rivers Strategic Advisers, LLC and has been in this role since May of 2005. She develops strategic communications campaigns, public education programs, and partnership strategies for international organizations, NGOs, governments and businesses. She provides comprehensive project management, program evaluation, external relations support, and manages relationships with key stakeholders, supporters and vendors. She has extensive experience creating integrated communication plans to advance advocacy goals, build and maintain communities on-and-offline, raise funds, and generate media attention. She has s working knowledge of the UN, and UN issues and has arranged over 800 public outreach programs with UN staff, UN Missions, and NGOs. In 2012, she Ied a delegation consisting of representatives of multiple NGOs to the Rio+20 conference, to coordinate general coverage and tracking and held multiple side events with a variety of stakeholders, including the United Nations Association, corporate partners, and leaders from the global Indigenous community. Julia has worked with several organizations in various capacities, including the Public-Private Alliance Foundation, the Maestro Cares Foundation, Human Rights Watch, UN Association of the USA, and the Humane Society. She studied Politics at NYU, with a special focus on human rights and international development.
