EWOUD VAN SCHAIJK
(1960, Rotterdam, the Netherlands)
Graduated as an architect and engineer at the Technical University of Delft in the Netherlands, got his Masters in Sustainable Social Housing at the Faculty of Architecture da Escola de Belas Artes de Lisboa.
For 20 years he has been working with Phenomenology applied to Architecture with names as Sebastian Elsaesser, Almaas e Bert Hellinger.
He is a pioneer in developing a methodology for perception and creation in architecture through phenomenological processes.
Ewoud van Schaijk is partner-director of OPEN SPACE Ltda, consultancy firm specialized in Process Oriented Architecture and Sustainability.
With projects in the Netherlands, Croatia, Germany, Portugal and Brazil, he has a profound interest in the world´s cultural differences, and, supported by his domain of variouslanguages, he has the capacity to elaborate ideas and concepts integrating, and respecting the local culture.
Currently he gives Masterclasses at various Brazilian Universities.
In the United States Ewoud graduated as a facilitator in OPEN SPACE TECHNOLOGY.
Ewoud is married and has three children.
His hobbies are sailing and sculpturing
