Exotic Birds
Animalist in Estados Unidos
Very common in exotic birds are finches, capuchins, widowers, greenfinches and other similar birds. Pigeons, parrots and pheasants are also favorites of poultry farmers with a little more space. For those with more experience, well practically any species, a neighbor of ours has large rheas in the backyard of his house. Among the collections of ornamental birds we find a good number of ducks, swans and geese that are exotic birds; and of course, the very popular peacock that is already semi-domesticated, at least those of white color and the harlequins demonstrate the human preference to the survival in nature.
The yellow, red, or any other color canaries, which are so popular, are not considered exotic birds. These canaries do not exist in nature. They are races created by the interference of human beings. We call these races domesticated. The caroline in cockatoos and the common parakeet, or Australian parakeet, sold in bird shops are also domesticated birds, though not as altered as the canaries. Although they all come from birds that were wild, they are already breeds that demonstrate certain differences with those that remain in the wild.
