Lover of sunshine, sand, adventure, intentional conversation, beer, languages, culture, the world, being bare foot, the mountains, ranunculus, tea, bright colors, post cards, dancing, adrenaline rushes, curiosity and like-minded people.
I’m a female solo traveller, testing the waters around the world. With a bucket list a mile long and wanderlust like you wouldn’t believe, I’m slowly making my way around the globe exploring, trying new things, and being a wee bit adventurous. The purpose of this blog is to document my wanderlust and my travel plans. As I travel, I keep a journal, which I update here as often as possible (usually, after I’ve returned from travel).
I’m a lover of all things travel, exploration and adventure. I’m curious about the world and the people who inhabit it. I’m inquisitive by nature, and love being pushed outside my comfort zone. I’m a fan of “hobo-chic”travel. I travel on a shoe string, without limiting the experiences I want to have.
I’m what the New York Times calls a “generation in limbo.” I’ve spent my adulthood working my arse off at a number of jobs, making enough money to cover my bills and student debt, but only allowing for one holiday a year. My holidays were me scraping by, trying to enjoy whatever I could with the minimal vacation time I was given.
I’m a graduate of St. Thomas University and the University of New Brunswick- Fredericton. My background is in Human Rights, Criminology and Human Resources. I’ve worked in a variety of roles, but found my true passion in travel in 2012.
In 2012, I was in a dead end relationship on a fast track to a brutal future if we kept going at the rate we were going. Thankfully, we both realize we truly hated each other and wrapped that up. Immediately, I booked a trip to Scotland, where I fell madly in love with Scotland, Scottish men, bag pipes, and travel. After Scotland, I went to Ireland. I fell madly in love with Ireland, Irish men, Guinness and travel. You see the trend here?
After short breaks (holidays that ranged from 2-5 weeks), I decided enough was enough! Why not move abroad and try to make a life out of travel? So this brings me to 2015 – ready to go to the UK and about to embark on a really exciting adventure.
