Ezra Mzwandile Matlala

Ezra obtained his LLB degree from the University of Pretoria in 2006. During 2007, he commenced his articles of clerkship at Kekana Hlatshwayo Incorporated, in Parktown where he gained knowledge and expertise in general Civil Litigation. In 2008 he ceded his articles of clerkship to Tabacks & Associates. During his tenure at Tabacks Ezra gained extensive exposure and experience in Corporate and Commercial Law (opinion, negotiating and drafting of various commercial agreements, due diligence investigations); Competition Law ( opinions, merger notices, drafting and settling complaints and training on compliance and regulatory framework); Mining Law ( applications for mining and prospecting rights, registration of mining and prospecting rights, drafting of all mining related agreements and opinions); and Employment Law (drafting of agreements, conducting hearings and opinions).

Ezra was admitted as an attorney in May 2010 and went on to join a Corporate and Commercial Law Firm based in Sandton as an Associate and worked in various commercial and corporate matters. In March 2011 to date, Ezra proceeded to practice for his own account under the style name Ezra Matlala Attorneys in Association with Tabacks.
