I am a Finance and Operations Manager at Amani Institute currently living in Nairobi, Kenya.

My interests range from working with people to looking for talent to education to writing and to add to this amazing list is setting up and streamlining the operations of a company and creating a people friendly work environment. To top all this up is the MAGIC with numbers. FINANCE. I walk numbers, I sleep processes, I breath reports and it just works for me.

I enjoy working with people , its so lovely welcoming new people into the organization, see them start/continue building a career and also see them leave for greener pastures. However, goodbyes are not a great part especially when its a termination, but yes that is part of what I do and I love it.

I fell in love with figures figures, the magic behind balancing the numbers, creating budgets, presenting accurate books, ensuring that the company has complied to relevant authorities is satisfying.Planning and execution is part of me. Events, meetings, departmental coordination success put a smile on my face.

so I merged the two and its amazing. at the end of the day, I get to deal with people and I get to use my financial expertise.I have areas in HR where finance is important We have a new hire, I know who can do the job best (job description), I know the budget (setting up salaries), instead of walking down the corridors every second or writing emails, then why not, the combination is terrific.

I blend my Finance, Human Resource, Operations, Customer Service skills to ensure there is good work flow.
