We wanted to create a social enterprise that focused on child/adolescent obesity. We wanted to develop a food service that offered good healthy food that met the 5-A-Day pyramid food chart. our company is called, "The Fab 5" and we are a food truck that service near schools that are less fortunate in getting their 5-A-Day before they start their day

Facts: Childhood/Adolescent Obesity
1) 36% of adolescents, ages 12 - 17 are overweight or obese in Fresno County. Statewide the number is about 29%.
2) According to the Centers of Disease Controls and Preventation, about 12.5 million children 2-19 are obese.
Local Success Stories
1) "Fresno Teen Finds Hope in Diagnosis" - Victor Ycong was diagnosed with diabetes and thought his life was over. At 15 years olds, 6 foot 1 and 228 pounds, he was already at risk of diseases associated with being obese. His diabetes diagnosis saved him by exercising and eating better.
2) "Hometown Celebrities" - David and Melody Carr have two children with Type 1 Diabetes. They got mohawks to raise awareness for this. Bulldog Born! Bulldog Bred!
