Amherst, Massachusetts, United States
Currently a Junior Accounting major in the Isenberg School of Management, with a minor in IT. Proud to say that I am the oldest of four boys, born and raised in Longmeadow, MA. My time here at Isenberg has opened up countless opportunities for me, including my future internship with Ernst & Young in their Commercial Assurance practice this summer in Boston. My plans after graduating in May 2015 include living in Boston and working for EY full-time. Boston has always been my dream place to live because of its business opportunities as well as the unique city life.
Various jobs, including being a Student Assistant at the Chase Career Center, have helped me build strong organizational and time management skills. My strongest trait is my dedication to team goals. One of my biggest mantras is "How Can I Help?" and I try to bring that team-first attitude to group engagements as well as putting others' needs first.
In addition to my studies, I also love getting involved with many different organizations and activities. One in particular is a real passion of mine- Griffin's Friends. This great organization is based in my hometown and is dedicated to "bringing moments of joy to courageous kids". Being apart of this organization has taught me valuable lessons, such as the importance of putting people first and not taking my opportunities here for granite. I believe that having strong academic success and a passion for community service has made me a well-rounded individual both in a work environment and outside.
It is important to have short-term and long-term goals to keep you motivated and working towards something. My short-term goals involve my internship this summer with EY in addition to personal goals I want to meet. In the long run, I want to be a successful member of any accounting firm I belong to. Also, one of my dreams is to be a high school teacher and basketball coach. Some of the biggest lessons I learned were through basketball and the person I am today can be attributed to the great teachers I had at Longmeadow High School.
"If you do what you love, then you'll never work a day in your life" - I intend to find something that I am passionate about and make that my career.
