(short version) He wrote articles, wrote books, interviewed Daft Punk before they put their helmets on, has been deputy editor at “Rolling Stone Italia”, hosted shows on Italian national radio, and did several other things. In 2023 he published “Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh”, an essay/memoir about Italy in the early 80s, beginning from the biggest and most popular song from that period, Righeira’s “Vamos a la playa”.
He’s on Twitter, and he hosts a weekly podcast of “deeply wrong music” called The Tuesday Tapes.
(long version) Has been deputy editor at “Rolling Stone Italia” from 2007 to 2014. Before, he has written for “Marie Claire”, “XL” monthly supplement of La Repubblica newspaper, “Io Donna” supplement of Corriere della Sera newspaper and many, many (many) others.
Hosted several shows on national Rai Radio2 (“Suoni & Ultrasuoni” and “Weekendance” amongst others). In summer 2015 he hosted lunchtime daily talk show “Quasi alle due”, again on Radio2.
Wrote a couple of books, the most relevant being “Discoinferno” (ISBN, 2006), a social history of dance-music and nightclubbing in Italy from the 40es till today, and “Mamma mamma, voglio fare il dj” (Arcana, 2004), an ironic essay on how to become a successful dj in Italy.
2015 to 2017, he’s been “head of content” during the re-launch of TIMmusic streaming service in Italy. In 2015, 2016 and 2017 he’s been “project editor” of (Audi’s) #AudiOOOOrama branded cultural event. 2019 to 2020 he’s been part of the team launching S O L O “smart content for smart speakers” digital company.
