During my soul searching period (gap years) I spent many evenings thinking about things that could be better at the job I was doing at the time, especially what my managers could do better. This started a chain of events which has led me to the point where I am now.
These past three years I have spent studying international business have taught me about the various aspects of businesses. Most importantly I found two areas of business that really caught my attention to a point where I became obsessed with, finance and marketing.
In finance I have done extensive research, calculations and analyses for my financial reports on companies such as Air France - KLM, Boeing, Delta Air Lines and Alcoa. I am especially intrigued by merger and acquisitions, because I am interested in analyzing the various managerial and financial reasons behind decisions for merging and I spend time on reading articles and books relating to this field.
Financial skills: Financial and Managerial Accounting principles / techniques, Financial Planning and Budgeting, Financial Risk Analysis, Valuation Methods.
For marketing I have done extensive research and development of marketing / communication strategies on brands like Apple, AirBnB, Heineken, Unilever, IKEA, and Tomb Raider. In marketing I am most interested in the games, e-sports, music and airline industries.
Marketing skills: email marketing, content marketing, data visualization, and experience with marketing tools (social media marketing, productivity, image and design, and email), conducting market research, developing social media strategies, competitive analysis, defining target audiences and event planning.
Currently I am in the search for a graduation (thesis) internship position in finance or marketing starting on January/February 2019. If you are/know someone who is looking for an intern with a can-do mentality please do not hesitate to directly contact me at [email protected].
