Daniel Lacatus

Journalist, poet, and writer, born January 4, 1988, in Calan, Romania. Member of the Romanian Writers' Union since 2011. Graduate in Journalism from Lucian Blaga University of Sibiu.

Founder of multiple cultural and literary projects, including the editorial initiative Faces of Pain. A Call to Memory (2018), documenting the impact of totalitarian regimes. This led to the creation of the historical-cultural magazine Apel la memorie (2018–2021).

In December 2020, he founded Info Cultural, a Romanian news platform dedicated to culture, art, science, and education. In 2024, he launched Facla Libera and the Enciclopedic portal.

Author of numerous poetry and history books, including bilingual editions and works focused on Romanian cultural memory and local history.

He is included in several specialized dictionaries and encyclopedias and has contributed to editorial projects conducted under the auspices of the Romanian Academy
