Facundo Almada Abreu

Student in Argentina

I am an 18-year-old student living in Argentina, deeply interested in Economics and Political Science. My goal is to specialize in Development Economics and Public Policy, driven by my passion for addressing social issues and aspiring to pursue a career in public office.

In 2023, I was chosen after a highly-competitive application process to participate in the prestigious “Youth Ambassadors Program”, sponsored by the United States Department of State. This immersive three-week fully-funded program in the United States provided me with comprehensive courses on leadership, diplomacy, politics, and social issues. Additionally, I designed and presented my community project, Econopolítico, to U.S. Government officials in Washington D.C., where I showed my deep commitment to making a positive impact on both a national and global scale.

In 2022, I assumed the role of Vice President in a prominent online Black Lives Matter organization, boasting a membership of 350,000 individuals, where I honed a diverse set of skills while actively contributing to the fight against racism and injustice. This experience provided me with invaluable insights into the complexities of social issues and solidified my commitment to promoting equality and justice for all.

With a relentless drive to effect positive change, I am continuously seeking opportunities to further develop my understanding of Economics and Political Science. I aspire to utilize this knowledge to drive policy reform, shape public discourse, and create a more sustainable society.
