Fadumo Ali

Currently on my road to success I am in my second year in business management and entrepreneurship at Algonquin College. I took this program to gain skills and knowledge on how to run and manage your own business and what it takes to succeed in being an entrepreneur.

After I am done this program, I plan to teach English abroad for a year in Doha,Qatar. My uncle owns two hotels there and will also be gaining experience by working with him and getting insight on how he runs his business.

My goal in the next five years is to open up a daycare centre or an east African restaurant.Why these two? because I love to cook, and would love to introduce Somali cuisine to more people. I have also worked for a daycare centre for a year and absolutely loved working with the kids. It was the best job I have had. It was excited getting up every morning and knowing I am going to see those am amazing children, and to see their faces when I come to work.

Whether it's a daycare centre or restaurant with hard work, determination and passion;I plan on being my own boss. There will always be obstacles on the road, but you either overcome them or let them get in your way.

I will overcome my obstacles and continue on my road to success.
