My Biography

I am Fathi Garaad Essa, a visionary thought leader, policy strategist, and social reform advocate based in Hargeisa, Somaliland. As a polymath with extensive interdisciplinary expertise, I have built a professional identity rooted in Political Science, International Development, Climate Advocacy, Human Capital Management, Economic Policy, AI-integrated Education, and Strategic Project Design.

My work is driven by a purpose greater than personal achievement: I aim to catalyze transformation in Somaliland and the broader Horn of Africa through evidence-based policymaking, youth empowerment, innovation ecosystems, and sustainable development initiatives.

I am the Founder and CEO of Prime Project Solutions, a dynamic consultancy that delivers strategy, design, and development solutions to government agencies, businesses, and nonprofits. My career spans leadership roles in government, private sector, international collaboration, and research-based advocacy—all anchored by a commitment to inclusive growth, digital literacy, and visionary governance.

As a UN Climate Champion alumnus, a published writerpreneur, and a PhD, Postdoc, Dsc, DLitt, LHD, LLD, -level, research assistant, I contribute to global dialogues while remaining deeply rooted in my community. I bring to every role the mindset of a builder, the discipline of a scholar, and the heart of a changemaker.

My academic foundation lies in human resource management, which I earned at Togdheer University, where I developed a systems-thinking approach to human development and organisational effectiveness, a BBA degree from the University of South Asia in Bangladesh, and I am currently pursuing a Master of Political Science from the Open University in the UK
