Information Technology is one of the fastest growing industries in the world from the inception of this industry the IT & ICT development in Pakistan has grew at a slow pace in 80's. The growth primarily began in late 90's and was driven equally by the growing demands in Pakistan as well as the initial breakthrough by some leading IT product managers.

Both these basic growth drivers sustained their demands on the industry thus encouraging IT growth. Towards the end of the decade with more IT skilled work force and increasing numbers of IT training centers the industry has seen treatments growth both in terms of size and technical diversity. Governments stand to help boost this industry has also been very supportive in the growth of this industry.

Seeking this growth of Pakistan IT market, principals, like Hewlett Packard, Intel, Microsoft, Compaq, Acer, Cisco etc., have opened their operation offices in the country to look better after growing requirements of the customers, that is the only reason that this industry is now able to deliver wide range of innovative customized IT solutions to local customers with the help of a large pool of highly qualified experts & skilled professionals.

IT industry is still in its growth stage. The population of 140 million their interest in IT, Mega projects of government and fast growth of local industry invited foreign investments in all industries which forecast fast growth of IT in future.

Current status of local companies providing IT related solution is a bit low in quality and customer satisfaction. The limited knowledge of IT professional does not fulfill multinationals and large organizations requirements for hi-tech IT innovations.
