I have a management consulting background with 3.5 years of experience in strategic planning, incentive systems, change management, forecasting and budgeting. As a consultant I implemented value-based management systems across a variety of industries including oil & gas, telecoms and banking. I also applied a blend of academic theory and industry principles of valuation and budgeting to help clients with strategic planning, capital allocation, and incentive programs. The key goal in all instances was a distinct focus on economic value creation. As an entrepreneur, starting TaskHoppers.com has been a learning experience and an enjoyable journey. I have had to learn how to navigate the exciting world of start-ups, as well as learn how to identify leads and opportunities while avoiding pitfalls which could sink the new business. I have learned invaluable negotiation skills, and I have learned a lot about networking in the business investment arena. Other skills I have developed include detailed business planning, cost-benefit analysis, online marketing, social networking, web design, and search-engine optimisation.
