Fahmi Shariff

Fahmi Shariff, turning 21 years of age this year, has just completed his diploma course in film-making. He has directed/edited several short films during his time at Temasek School of Design. He has a strong interest in editing videos though his true passion lies with writing and he aspires to be a published novelist someday.

He finds joy and peace in reading (and dissecting) novels by writers like Haruki Murakami, Kazuo Ishiguro, Joseph Heller and etc.

He also harbours an insatiable sense of wanderlust, often planning out in his head the places he would like to travel to (the moment he is free from the clutches of his country's mandatory military service).

He longs to traverse distant places such as the forgotten ruins of Petra and narrow cobblestone streets of Europe, eager to immerse himself in a spectrum of different cultures, cuisines and languages.
