M A Faisal Mahmud

M A Faisal Mahmud is a next generation investment banker based in Dhaka. Trained and skilled in finance, he focused heavily in economic, financial and risk analytics. With the passage of time, Mr. Mahmud comprehended deal prospecting, transaction structuring as well as top class modeling skills for corporate advisory mandates.

At the early of the career, he's very exposed to financial modeling and LBOs. With the capacity in corporate advisory, Mr. Mahmud weighting high on Energy Sector projects (i.e. project feasibility, financing structuring, synthetic/structured modeling & policy related issues).

He is also very keen in development projects. Very recent work on development projects side includes two World Bank reports assessing 'Impact of Global Financial Crisis on Energy Sector Investment in Bangladesh' and 'Energy Sector Financing in Bangladesh'.

Presently, he manages proprietary fund at LankaBangla, a leading FI in Bangladesh and functionally involved in Strategic Equity Investments, Underwriting, Strategic planning and budgetary planning of LankaBangla.

Mr. Mahmud is a graduate of Finance from University of Dhaka and pursuing CFA program (L-II candidate) at CFA Institute, Charlottesville, Virginia, USA.
