Fajr Ali

To offer a brief synopsis of professional and personal qualities, Fajr is considered a mature, dependable, and a well rounded individual; who takes pride in being a loyal, decisive and supportive student.

You may know Fajr from seeing her partake in many activities that surround bettering her community and school environment. To name a few, Fajr was elected to be her senior class president. The elected position aided in shaping the THS experience in purposeful and meaningful ways. Fajr was responsible for: Facilitating student council meetings and discussions, acting as representative of the student body when meeting with school faculty, and participating heavily in student activities. Additionally Fajr was an active participant in the "School Climate Grant," where she helped beautify the THS with messages of self-love. She participated in Rewriting the THS Student Code Of Conduct, painted cyberbullying prevention murals at THS, and painted Black Lives Matter murals at both THS and Richard Rodda Community Center. Fajr gives 100% and then some in the classroom and the hardwood as an outstanding athlete. To put it lightly Fajr Ali is a winner, a former women's varsity basketball team captain, where she led the team to a division championship for their 2020-2021 season.

In Fajr, you would discover an extremely hard-working student; one who will serve to demonstrate high standards of professionalism. Her spirit, zest for learning and for life as well as her passion for helping others leaves a lasting impression on all who come in contact with her. Fajr has been on the honor roll in some capacity every year during her tenure at Teaneck High School. She has committed herself to academic success.

All of Fajr’s hard work didn't stop in highschool. Fajr is matriculating at Bergen CC where she serves as a member in the Summer Intensive Program, Vice President of ClubSI, Dean of Finance for D.I.V.A Girl, a Mental Health Ambassador for the Violence Intervention Prevention center at BCC.

Fajr epitomizes the qualities of an exemplary student in her thirst for knowledge, attention to detail, responsibility, and maturity in the classroom. She is laser focused on her studies and demonstrates a high level of commitment to her academic success.

As a Peer Leader she sets the example and standards for the current and future students of Bergen CC with her wisdom and dedication to improving the status quo of the School experience.
