'Deoye Falade

Writer and Editor in Lagos, Nigeria

Read my blog

I see myself as a book half unread. One important thing about me is my love for the written word - it's one thing I live for.

I'm either reading someone's work (in a bid to make it better or just to enjoy it) or writing something of my own. This is what I do for a living as a Journalist/Editor. Right now I work with gem Publications, publishers of gemWOMAN and gemMAN magazines and a whole lot of other wonderful intiatives and programmes.

When I'm not working, I can be found courting friendly fire, engaging in positive arguments, whopping friends on the latest version of FIFA (and getting whooped in return), watching a movie, swimming (sometimes) or sleeping.

People say I'm crazy too - something I vehemently object to, although I believe lucidity can be a good thing sometimes. I can be enigmatic so sometimes it pays not to try and understand me in a hurry - I could drive you mad. Just sit back and enjoy watching me live...
