Joseph serves as the Director of Learning Technology and Curriculum at Gyeonggi Suwon International School in Suwon, South Korea and volunteers time as an adjunct professor at Pyongyang University of Science and Technology in Pyongyang, North Korea. He promotes the development of a concept-based curriculum which he learned through years of coordinating the International Baccalaureate Middle Years Program in his school and being an Understanding by Design (Wiggins & McTighe) trainer. He is very familiar with the challenges that teachers face in designing relevant, concept-based units of instruction. Mr. Fambro also spends time reviewing and improving schoolwide processes, especially those that are connected with improving student achievement.

From early childhood Mr. Fambro enjoyed technology but it was not until working in a 1-to-1 Apple school that he was able to combine his passion for teaching, curriculum design, innovation and technology in a professional setting. He has taught in private American, Korean and international schools. He is an Apple Distinguished Educator (Class of 2010) and Apple Professional Developer. He most enjoys championing teachers to be innovative and transform their classrooms to inspire students and increase achievement.

Joseph seeks to utilizing what he learns about technology and learning to help people in under-developed countries and situations to improve their lives.

When not working with teachers and students in his school he enjoys digital photography, traveling, reading, learning about other cultures and social media.
