Fanchon Dawkins

Fanchon always had a love for the arts. Starting dance at the young age of 5 at the Lois Seiler Academy of Dance, the Grand Bahama native still continues to this day. Her acting debut was in the year 2000 in the musical "Once on this Island" where she played the role of 'Lil Timoune' at the Regency Theatre in Freeport. Since then, this rising starlet has been in and worked behind the scenes for co... untless stage plays and productions such as "Summer Madness", "The Devil and Jacinta", "The Recession" and many more!

Her most recent feat was winning the title of BTC Star and Spokesperson in the second season of the popular Bahamian reality show and competition "BTC Starmaker" (2011) which afforded her the opportunity to star in several television commercials and print ads for The Bahamas Telecommunications Company. In winning the competition, she also had the opportunity to host the 3rd season of "BTC Starmaker" in 2012.

She has also appeared in 5 episodes of "Tap's Vlogs," the comedic sketch comedy show based in The Bahamas. Similarly, she has made 2 guest appearances in "Not Without Milk," an up and coming comedic web series.

With her natural beauty and love for the camera, Fanchon has also appeared as a model and graced the cover of the local magazine "E-Life 242." She has also modeled in ad campaigns such as "Crude Cruelty"

Fanchon is currently playing the character 'Monique' in the first ever televised Bahamian drama series, "Gippie's Kingdom," written and directed by noted figure in the Bahamian film industry, Ian Strachan. It airs every Wednesday and Sunday night on ZNS.
