Fannie Madden-Grider

I am a turor, jewelry designer, writer/editor, photographer, teacher, and mixed-media artist. In addition to tutoring, creating jewelry and making art, I have written a 10-minute play which was performed at the Rowan County Arts Center in Morehead, Ky., and worked on three grant-funded art projects -- one involving round-robin art books, one making 3-D art boxes, and one creating art from found objects from Main Street Morehead, Ky. Called "Down on Main Street: Reclamation Art," the project, done with my husband Alvin Madden-Grider and daughter Ari Gibson, included more than 25 mixed-media found-art pieces and 25+ photographs by Ari. I also do marketing and PR work for artists, health care clinics and small businesses, as well as ghost writing and editing, grant writing, fundraising, and tutoring. I am currently scheduling new tutoring students for the fall 2012 semester and, with the Main Street project completed, taking assignments for freelance work in the above mentioned areas of expertise. The next project, with Alvin, is an oral history of World War II memories, both soldiers' and men and women at home. These will be used to create a full-length play of monologues. Contact me if you know someone from the WWII era or want a piece of jewelry made, or would like tutoring for your child, or want writing, editing, or any other services related to my areas of expertise.
