French Teacher in Dubaï, Émirats arabes unis

Native from Paris, I first graduated from La Sorbonne in Political Science in 2007. I was 22 when I decided to move to Argentina to work as a volunteer in an orphanage by the Brazilian border. There, I started teaching French to the kids and really enjoyed it.

After returning to France, I decided to pursue this vocation. I resumed my studies and I earned a Master's degree in Teaching French as a Foreign Language cum laude.

Bitten by the travel bug, I settled in Turkey for over two years. I taught French and History at the Lycée Charles de Gaulle in Ankara. I took advantage of this opportunity to learn Turkish and travel around the Middle East (Turkey, Iran, Syria and Lebanon).

I moved to Chicago in 2011 and, since then, I have taught French at the Lycée Français de Chicago, Josephinum Academy, and the Alliance Française of Chicago (Chez Kids Academy, programs for Kids and Teens).

I have acquired through those varied professional and personal experiences a wide spectrum of educational skills and fine-tuned my knowledge of foreign language didactic.

In 2013, I created Le P'tit Atelier de Français in Chicago and moved to Dubai in 2016.

I teach classes as well as individuals in one-on-one lessons (in person or online) or in small groups. I adjust the pace and level of each lesson based on the level of my students so that the learning process is both challenging and rewarding. My teaching style could be described as conversation-oriented and fun, although very important, plays a second role in my classes. My key objective is to create a relaxed atmosphere to make everybody feel at ease and let the conversation flow.

Students find that I am a dynamic teacher, motivating and always attentive to their needs.
