I was born and raised in Illinois. I graduated from the University of Missouri in Columbia, Mo., with a dual degree in Journalism and Economics. I love writing about everything, but love editing what I write even more. I appreciate the written word in all forms, from acclaimed novels, eloquent speeches, impassioned dialogues in movies and comedic exchanges in television. I hope to have my hand in all modes of writing and communication at some point, whether its purpose is to better the world or provide immaculate entertainment.
My other passions include, but are certainly not limited to, running, yoga, reading, economics, superheroes, watching every movie and keeping up with every show. I like to believe that my family, friends and the Chicago Bulls are the only constants in my life. My name means “happiness” in Arabic and I use that as my life philosophy.
