Farica Prince

Farica Prince is the Deputy Chief of Police for the Prince Albert Police Service, a role she assumed in October 2021. She is the first Indigenous woman to hold this position in the force's history. With a policing career spanning over 20 years, which began in October 2001, she has served in Manitoba, Saskatchewan, and Alberta. Her experience includes various areas such as training, communications, detention, human resource management, professional standards, policy, and procurement. Farica is committed to community engagement, public safety, and proactive policing initiatives. She is actively involved with the Canadian Association of Chiefs of Police (CACP), co-chairing the Equity, Diversity and Inclusion committee and serving as a member of the CACP President's Advisory Council. She is also a jingle dress dancer and supports fundraisers for children with complex medical needs. Inclusivity and valuing human differences are core to her foundation.
