Farida Zaman

Farida Zaman is a Toronto-based multi-disciplinary artist, professional author-illustrator, and fine art intuitive painter. She is best known for her whimsical and uplifting illustrations created using watercolour, gouache, acrylics, and digital media.
Her work spans children’s picture books, editorial illustration, educational publishing, and commercial applications including food packaging, stationery, jigsaw puzzles, maps, posters, ceramics, kitchen textiles, and licensing projects.
A self-described global citizen, Farida draws inspiration from her lived experiences in the UK, the US, and Canada. She trained in fine art and illustration at the Chelsea School of Art and later the Wimbledon School of Art in London, graduating with top honors. Her artwork has been exhibited in private shows and galleries across Europe and North America, earning multiple awards and professional recognition.
In addition to her artistic practice, Farida is a passionate educator who teaches intuitive painting through workshops and art classes for both adults and children. She is a member of the Society of Illustrators (New York), SCBWI, and CANSCAIP.
