Farman Nawaz

I am freelance columnist. After doing masters (2000) in Journalism from
University of Peshawar I joined The Frontier Post as internee sub-editor. I have
started writing articles for newspapers in 2004 but since June 2009 I am regularly
contributing articles to different newspapers like The Frontier Post, Statesman, Dawn,
Aaj Kal-Lahore, Asia Times Online (Hong Kong), Weekly Rutab – Islamabad,
Bangladesh Today, Probe News Magazine (Bangladesh), Daily Outlook Afghanistan
and now a days I write for Blog section of Express Tribune (with International Herald
Tribune – a sister publication of Newyork Times).
My area of interest in journalism is terrorism, politics, secularism, religion,
education and creating a friendly environment in Kabul for Pakistan through my
articles. My long term goal in journalism is to start a debate about society free of
religious bias based on the concept of regional cooperation.
Recently I have started an Urdu Weekly Jirga Bannu (
and an English monthly Bannu Chronicle.
