Ahmad Farzad Lami

Afghanistan-born Ahmad Farzad Lami (or Lameh) is an Afghan journalist and writer.

Prior to joining TOLOnews, Farzad was a news reporter/anchor for TOLO TV and then Programming Manager for the well-known Afghan channel, LEMAR TV, in Kabul, Afghanistan.

In mid 2010, he joined TOLOnews as a TV host – TOLOnews is Afghanistan's first 24-hour news and current affairs channel.

He has nearly 9 years of broadcast and online journalism experience. He has written more than 70 articles on Afghanistan for some news and current affairs websites - including BBC and Central Asia Online.

He has received letters of appreciation from the government of Afghanistan and MOBY Media Group.

Farzad is now working as a contractor with the U.S. Department of State and Diplomatic Language Services in Washington, D.C.
Recently, he won Rumi Award for best social media journalist in Las Vegas, United States.
