- His current research interests include Swarm Intelligence (especially Particle Swarm Optimizations, Artificial Bee Colony Algorithm, Bacterial Chemotaxis Optimization Algorithm and Ant Colony Optimizations), Bio-informatics, Intelligence Optimization methods, Evolutionary Computation (Differential Evolution algorithm, Genetic Algorithms etc), Quantum Intelligence computation, Global optimization, and Non-Lyapunov Methods in Chaos control, chaos synchronization, chaotic characters.
- Prof. Dr. F. Gao has 40 publications in international conferences and journals both domestic and abroad, in which 22 were indexed by SCI(10), EI(12) and ISTP(1), and 39 were as the First author. And now 2 of his recent papers are under review.
- Dr. F. Gao has been awarded by Special Fund for outstanding researchers from theNational Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC)(No. 10647141), Foundation for Post-doctoral Scientists of China (No. 20080431004) , the Natural Science Foundation (No.2009CBD213) of Hubei Province of China, and Brain Korea(BK)21 project(2008.03-2009.03) from Korean government, participate in several other NSFC and Ministerial projects' research.
