I am fortunate to have had the opportunity to learn from my father about creating, managing and operating several small businesses while growing up in Michigan, and to later expand upon that knowledge based during my 12 year tenure with Kellogg's serve as an objective advisor in the development and validation of business strategies, assumptions, and capabilities. Since 1999, I have had the opportunity to collaborate with many great companies and line of business leaders in Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, Operations, CTO/IT planning, and Finance, and help identify new strategies and implementing new capabilities that have created additional business value. Smarter Commerce is a unique approach that increases the value companies generate for their customers, partners and shareholders in a rapidly changing digital world. It is designed to help companies better integrate and more effectively manage their value chain, including buy, market, sell, and service processes to put the customer at the center of decisions and actions leading to greater customer loyalty, revenue / margin growth and agility. My role is to closely understand the customers industry and business strategies, and help them assess which IBM capabilities are required to deliver those strategies, and align our roadmap with their corporate objectives and targets. My goal is to remain an objective advisor in the development and validation of business strategies, assumptions, and capabilities. Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:  Partner with business leaders in the development and validation of business strategies and related assumptions, and capabilities required to execute on these strategies  Synthesize and prioritize business capabilities and requirements into a cohesive and actionable plan to optimize resource allocation and marketplace impact  Develop strategic Smarter Commerce planning scenarios based on industry and competitive trends and present them to senior leadership to facilitate resource allocation and investment prioritization decisions  Perform business plan development to provide innovative, yet practical, recommendations  Support broader strategic planning process, as well as ad hoc topical strategy development projects
