Felicia, a creator by nature and a fixer at heart, is currently pursuing a doctoral degree in Counseling Psychology.
With goals of becoming a published author, entrepreneur, and program developer, Felicia would like to ultimately establish a non-profit organization focused on strengthening and healing African American relationships.
Felicia is currently pursuing a research project aimed at better understanding the relationship between African Americans' attitudes and beliefs about African American women and intimate relationships. In addition, she is involved in the creation and implementation of a counseling and exercise intervention program for obese African American adolescent girls and their mothers.
In between her research endeavors, studying, and teaching, Felicia is taking a stab (again) at the blogging world. Her blog, OverlyLove, was created out of a desire to share her perspective and experiences as a 20-something single African American woman living in a Metropolitan city.
