Just a girl with a camera trying to make a difference. Sharing inspirational, happy stories of everyday people overcoming adversity in the midst of everyday life.

Somehow, it never seems to fail, we get stuck inside our own little box and everything in our world can seem larger than the world outside. Our perspective turns dark, our problems seem larger, sometimes insurmountable, we forget for a moment the things in life we have already overcome and there are times we may even lose hope. I find in times like these, it's important to share hope, inspire and encourage one another. One little spark can start a forest fire. One ray of hope can change a life. Yet, this takes being vulnerable, sharing the yuck to get to the awesome. Being real, being authentic takes courage to encourage.

Late summer of 2014, I set out on an aspiring project: to get a community of courageous individuals involved in bringing hope to those who've become overwhelmed and lost their way, through photographs and interviews of those who have overcome adversity great and small. Equipped only with my camera, a notepad and an eager desire to share my passion, I began interviewing authentically real people and making notes of their stories and sharing them with others in an attempt to bring hope.

Eventually, I ventured out into the community and started covering territory by foot, bicycle, car then by plane and now across cyber space to share their stories. As a natural outcome of these efforts I have begun a motivational, vibrant blog I call “Human Hearts,” in which the photos are featured with the personal stories of courageous people willing to be vulnerable in hopes to encourage someone else on their journey.

Like the mythological bird, the Phoenix, each of us have a dormant rebirth that can occur in our lives at anytime through the rejuvenation of hope in our indomitable spirit. Finding your purpose allows you to find your passion which brings new life and helps you to overcome any obstacle great or small in your path. Connecting to a higher purpose that your creator has designed especially for you.

Uniting human hearts that have the courage to be vulnerable and share their stories of courage to give hope to the suffering is part of my humble purpose.
