I’m a career journalist who has been teaching journalism to undergraduate students almost as long as I've been working for newspapers and magazines. Especially when news is so often maligned, I think it is extremely important that the Fourth Estate exist. To keep it thriving, new folks must enter the profession. I do my part by helping students understand what journalism is and how it works.
