Feliciano Serrano
Physician in Los Angeles, California
I am Feliciano Serrano, MD, a Los Angeles-based physician specializing in nephrology and vascular care. As a native Angeleno, I have a deep connection to the communities I serve. Throughout my career, I have focused on combining specialized medical care with compassion, empathy, and a commitment to improving the lives of my patients.
I earned my Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences from the University of Southern California and completed graduate studies in Biological Technology and Genetics at California State University, Dominguez Hills. I later earned my Doctor of Medicine from the Keck School of Medicine of USC and completed my Internal Medicine residency at White Memorial Medical Center in Los Angeles.
My desire to better serve patients with complex medical needs led me to pursue advanced training in nephrology, hypertension, kidney disease research, and interventional nephrology and vascular procedures. My career has also given me the opportunity to lecture and conduct research at Harvard Brigham and Women’s Hospital and participate in NIH-supported research at the University of Vermont.
Research and continual learning have remained important parts of my professional journey. My work has explored kidney disease, thrombosis, hypertension, platelet function, and related cardiovascular concerns, with research presented and published in medical settings.
Above all, I believe medicine is about people. I strive to approach patient care with empathy, perseverance, and an openness to continually improving how care is delivered. As a physician fluent in English and Spanish, I value the ability to communicate with and serve patients from diverse communities.
Outside of medicine, I enjoy soccer, baseball, hiking, and spending time in nature. My goal is simple: to keep learning, keep improving, and use my experience to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others.
