f.m.c.

I write stories, capture photos, D.I.Y., love cats, drink craft brews, eat comfort food, and always crushing on my wife.

Ok...the longer version is that I moved to San Francisco 10 years ago. Wanting to pursue a graduate degree in Creative Writing, I left Salt Lake City and came back to California.

I found a niche within my group of friends and community, started volunteering for 826 Valencia (my how it's grown) and began filling in the spaces of my uncompleted goals.

A few years ago, I completed a master's degree in Adult Education with the hopes of giving back to the adult student population, immigrant adults, and creative writing hopefuls.

As part my culminating experience at SFSU, I developed a curriculum for adult learners in Creative Writing in hopes of cultivating an experiential and transformative learning process for them as well as their families.

Currently, I reside in Sacramento, freelance in photography, and blog under the name "hodgepodgereel" as a way to express the world around me...and around my friends & family.
