Felix Grovit

United Kingdom, London

Felix Grovit is noted for being the founder of Chequepoint in 1974. Chequepoint has had much success in its 40 years of running as a foreign exchange company.

Aside from Chequepoint, Mr. Grovit has been involved in numerous businesses in property, publishing, physical security, safe deposits, financial services and film post production services.

Since around 2000 he has been engaged in his inventions and the development of his own personal intellectual property. Especially focused on his Internet inventions for money transfer payments. At one point in time, Mr. Grovit was taking up to three business trips a week, but since his focus has shifted to his intellectual property portfolio, he has had to scale back his involvement in a couple of his businesses.

His Intellectual Property Portfolio consists of patents granted in 17 jurisdictions. Felix Grovit is the inventor of the patents.
Mr. Grovit strongly believes that as The Internet becomes involved in almost every single aspect of personal and commercial life, so Intellectual Property Rights are the best way to claim your stake to enter the Internet Industry.

Mr. Grovit’s intellectual property has been granted patents in the United States, China, Japan, the United Kingdom, Australia, Russia, South Africa and approximately 10 Sub-Saharan locations. Other patents are still pending in the United States, Brazil and the European Union.

Key patents have been granted as recently as 2012 (albeit with much earlier filing and priority dates) and Mr. Grovit now senses that the current portfolio of patent ‘families’ and claims may now have attained a critical importance where, for example, an infringer may infringe different claims over multiple patents.

The priority dates of the granted patents range back from 2001, underlining the possibly forceful properties of the inventions as against potential challenges.
More reflection as to the scheduling of the monetization has been driven by growth and development in the marketplace, which already has, or will progressively drive businesses and customers in e- and m-commerce sectors to adapt ever faster to bring new systems and technology into play – just to compete, let alone thrive.
